About Us:

Maria E. Gangarosa-Emerson, PhD
Dr. Gangarosa-Emerson completed her masters’ degree in Adult Neuropsychology at Drexel University while training in the Brain-Behavior Laboratory at the Hospital for the University of Pennsylvania. After graduation, she earned her Nouthetic counseling certificate, working with adults through the Atlanta Biblical Counseling Center.  For the next eight years, she worked in the Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery at the Medical College of Georgia (assessing infants, toddlers, & children) while simultaneously obtaining a PhD with an emphasis in Child Neuropsychology and a certificate in Marriage & Family Counseling at the University of Georgia. While in her PhD program at the University of Georgia, she worked with parents, children, and adolescents in various clinics at the University of Georgia, Emory University, and the Medical College of Georgia. She completed her internship in Clinical Psychology at the Allegheny University of the Health Sciences performing assessments and therapy with children, parents, and adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings.  She completed two additional  years as a post-doctoral fellow in Neuropsychology at MCP Hahneman University Hospital and St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children.  She has over twenty-five years of experience serving individuals in an assessment and  therapeutic context.

Katherine A. Leonberger, PsyD
Dr. Leonberger is currently a Post-doctoral Fellow with experience in neuropsychological assessment, neurofeedback and trauma therapy.  She completed a PsyD degrees (2014) in Clinical Psychology from George Washington University, Washington, DC.  Previous practicums and internship were completed at the Miami-Dade County Community Action & Human Services Department, The Jane Salzano Center for Autism IEI Program, Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital, the Edward C. Mazique Parent-Child Center, & the George Washington University Center Clinic where she has worked with adults, parents, teens, and children. 

Joy Roberts, BS, MS Candidate, Counseling
Joy Roberts currently assists with neurofeedback therapy with children, adolescents and adults and child groups. She completed her bachelor's degree through Mid-America Christian University (MACU) in the School of Christian Ministries and program of Christian Counseling in 2015.  She is currently in a masters’ degree program for Marriage & Family Therapy through the School of Psychology & Counseling at MACU. Mrs. Roberts worked at the Child Enrichment Center as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate, training certificate obtained in February, 2013). She has a CDA certification (Child Development Associate) and has worked with children in church youth groups, camps, preschools, schools, and while nannying.

Mandy Post, MS
Mandy Post currently works part-time and performs comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations and cognitive rehabilitation assessments with children, adolescents and adults.  She completed her bachelor's degree in Psychology at Angelo State University, in San Angelo, Texas where she graduated summa cum laude. She completed her masters' in Clinical Psychology in 2005 at Augusta State University where she served as a teaching and graduate assistant, teaching assessment skills to graduate students. Ms. Post completed a clinical internship at Aiken Barnwell Community Mental Health Center where she helped lead individual therapy sessions and conducted initial intake examinations. In 2004, she began working as a psychometrist in a local private practice,  administering IQ and achievement tests to children and adults. She has been working with Dr. Gangarosa-Emerson as a psychometrist since 2005.

Jasmin Sanders, MLA
Jasmin Sanders currently performs psychological and comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations with children adolescents, and adults as well as assists with therapy, neurofeedback, and cognitive rehabilitation. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Social Sciences at Winthrop University, Rock Hill, SC in May 2012. She completed a Masters' in Liberal Arts in Psychological Assessment at Winthrop University in 2016. Ms. Sanders interned as a School Psychology Trainee in Rock Hill District 3 working with K-8th grade and as a Head Start Intern at Winthrop University School Psychology Program at multiple centers in SC. She has worked as a Child Life Volunteer on the Pediatric Floor of McLeod Health Hospital in Florence, SC. Ms. Sanders has also worked with special needs populations in the local SC schools. She has been working with Dr. Gangarosa-Emerson as a psychometrist since 2016.

Jane Coolidge, MA, CCC-SLP
Jane Coolidge is a licensed SLP who specializes in literacy issues and Dyslexia. She completed her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Central Michigan University. She is ASHA Certified and Georgia Licensed.  She has performed similar services at the following:  ICF International, American Indian/Alaska Native Head Start; Abbeville County, Columbia County & Richmond Co. Schools; Children’s Therapy Unit, Good Samaritan Hospital, Puyallup WA; Bethel School District, Spanaway WA; American Indian Head Start, Network Academy for Educational Development;  American Indian Head Start Quality Improvement Center, OU; Muckleshoot Head Start, Muckleshoot Tribe, Auburn WA; Therapy Solutions, Edmonds, WA & NovaCare Rehabilitative Services, Tacoma, WA.
